This has to change.
The most glaring issue right now is the Justice system. Cases are rarely taken to the Court of Law, many attorneys are inactive, and there simply is no life shown within the Judicial system. An idea has come to mind, in terms of re-structuring this current system that clearly is not working for the people residing in Hidden Society. For example, when people are arrested, they should be in "jail" for an indefinite amount of time in-game, until they are given a date for a speedy, fair trial (which is within their rights in New York, as per "Criminal Procedure Law ยง 30.20" under New York State Law). This would A) Increases the punishment for committing crimes within Hidden Society, B) Give Public Defenders, and Law Firms much more cases and things to do, C) Gives Prosecutors a chance at prosecuting criminals, D) Gives Judges actual criminal cases to handle. Yes, I know this does seem very minor, but considering the number of people arrested daily whom just go back out and commit the same crime is ridiculous, because there is no ample punishment for the crimes committed within Hidden Society.
To go along with this, the people need things to get into within the game that doesn't hint towards gangs, cops, or the government in general. While it is true that the developers are working endlessly on creating new job opportunities for people, it is very difficult to say what jobs to include within the game. For example, the inclusion of EMTs who ride in ambulances, that are capable of reviving people from "*Critically Injured*" would create brand new aspects to the game. However, discussion on this topic is not the purpose of this article.
It is possible.
Yes, it may appear as though it is nearly impossible to implement this form of Justice System within Hidden Society in a reasonable time frame, however it is quite simple at what we need to do. A) There needs to be script changes to make jail times indefinite until a Judge presides over the case, B) Create an active group of BAR Certified Attorneys, Prosecutors, Judges, and Police Officers, C) Make it possible for the Judge to create the sentence in-game, as to whether that is innocent, or guilty and give prison time. Having stated this, it is time to form a New Hidden Society.
